Certification overview

Validating knowledge and skills in Information Technology is the Information Technology Infrastructure Library v3 certification (ITIL v3 certification). The requirement is that professionals should have a minimum of twenty two (22) credits. These credits may be achieved through ITIL qualification or complementary products. Two (2) of the credits should be from the Foundation Certificate which is a mandatory first step, and five (5) should be from the Managing Across the Lifecycle module.

The Master level of the ITIL qualification scheme focuses on a candidate's ability to apply principles in the work system environment. To attain this ITIL v3 certification path, the candidate must justify how he/she applied ITIL management techniques and theory to the business system. Before reaching this level, one must have passed the ITIL v3 intermediate certification and the ITIL v3 foundations certification.
